Dr. Komal Raj Rijal, is an  Associate Professor and Former Head of the Department of Central Department of Microbiology at Tribhuvan University. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand, with a focus on characterizing relapse patterns in Vivax Malaria and studying Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase Deficient variants in Nepal. Dr. Rijal exhibits a passionate dedication to research, particularly in malaria, vectorborne diseases, infectious diseases, and antimicrobial resistance.
